Job description

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned tasks to develop management skills, learn about key business aspects like customer loyalty and CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful completion may lead to promotion opportunities supporting store management, focusing on store execution, performance, and customer service. When managerial staff are absent, the Supervisor leads store operations and ensures procedural completion.

Essential Functions

1. Management
   • Collaborate effectively with store management and staff
   • Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and follow up
   • Communicate effectively with management and staff
2. Customer Service
   • Assist customers with inquiries, issues, and complaints
   • Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, assist, thank)
   • Handle customer relations per company policy, fostering positive shopping experiences
   • Maintain confidentiality of customer/patient information

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Details

• Anticipated Weekly Hours: 20
• Time Type: Part time
• Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
