Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to gain relevant experience, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support the store management team by driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
3. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy and ensure a positive shopping experience
5. Maintain customer confidentiality

Required Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer proficiency
• Advanced communication skills
• Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail experience

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
