Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to prepare for future supervisory responsibilities, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business (e.g., building customer loyalty through exceptional service) and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and is responsible for opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank).
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring positive shopping experiences.
5. Maintain customer confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

• Anticipated weekly hours: 40
• Time type: Full time
• Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
