Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned tasks to learn about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to supervisory roles that support store management and drive store performance.

When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

3. Supervise store crew by assigning tasks, directing activities, and following up.
4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, helping, and thanking customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
5. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated weekly hours: 29

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
