The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to prepare for future responsibilities, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the CVS Store Management team by driving store execution and performance, and by focusing on excellent customer service to build consumer loyalty. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and is responsible for all opening and closing procedures.
Required Qualifications: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in retail.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
