Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects like building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and understands CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

2. Work effectively with store management and staff, supervise activities, and communicate effectively with team members.

4. Assist customers, handle inquiries and complaints, promote CVS customer service culture, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Part-time, 20 hours per week, pay range $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, with actual salary depending on experience, education, and location. Benefits include medical plans, 401(k), stock purchase, wellness programs, paid time off, flexible schedules, and more. Application deadline: 08/30/2025.
