Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to build skills in management and operations, learns about customer loyalty, and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of training, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisor roles, which support store management in driving store performance and customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

1. Management

• Work effectively with store management and staff
• Supervise store crew activities, including assigning and following up
• Communicate effectively with management and staff

1. Customer Service

• Assist customers with questions, issues, and complaints
• Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, help, thank)
• Handle customer relations per company policy, ensuring positive shopping experiences
• Maintain confidentiality of customer/patient information

Required Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer proficiency
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail experience

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 25

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location
