Job summary

Lincoln Electric Company in Cleveland is seeking a production supervisor for the Stainless & Nickel Department. You will lead daily manufacturing activities, review schedules, and ensure safety and quality on a rotating three-shift operation.

You will coordinate with engineering, quality, methods, maintenance, and EHS teams to optimize processes and resolve issues quickly, while mentoring staff and maintaining records of performance and actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, including prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong technical acumen to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment; understand basic electrical and mechanical components.
• Willingness to learn and use SAP for basic production and scheduling functions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily production activities within the Stainless & Nickel Department, reporting to the Operations Manager.
• Review daily production schedules, equipment operation times, and staffing needs to meet priorities.
• Execute established production priorities and maintain weekly production schedules and work orders.
• Identify production, quality, or equipment issues; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure proper movement of materials and maintenance of tooling, equipment, and supplies.
• Supervise department personnel on the assigned shift, ensuring safe, productive, and compliant work practices.
• Maintain employee performance and merit records; recommend personnel actions including promotions, transfers, discipline, or termination.
• Address employee concerns and disputes; escalate unresolved matters to the Operations Manager.
• Detect, address, and report quality non-conformances; ensure adherence to procedures and special-order instructions.
• Support quality objectives by enforcing procedures and observing employee performance for compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Methods, Maintenance, EHS) to improve processes.
