Job summary

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is seeking a PRN Night Shift Nursing Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals. This role oversees patient care delivery and ensures adherence to standards of care within the psychiatric health setting.

RN licensed in SC, with 1–3 years of experience, preferably in psychiatric care. Night hours 7:00 pm–7:30 am, every other weekend; overtime possible. This position requires strong leadership and teamwork.

Qualifications

• RN license required with SC (compact allowed).
• 1–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care delivered per Standards of Care and Practice.
• Monitor policy implementation and act as a resource to staff.

• Supervise and direct nursing staff per Nursing Department goals; conduct disciplinary actions when indicated.

Shift Supervisor (House Supervisor RN)

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently hiring a PRN Night Shift Nursing Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice
• Monitor that staff are implementing policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff
• Assist in developing staffing schedules in accordance with patient acuity and staffing grid
• Continually evaluate the activities, morale and interpersonal relationships of the program staff and promote methods to improve these areas
• Assist in providing supervision and direction in accordance with Nursing Department's goals and objectives to all nursing staff and conducts disciplinary actions where indicated

Qualifications

Education: RN License Required. South Carolina registered nurse license with current registration required. Multi-state license with South Carolina included in the compact is also acceptable.

Experience: A minimum of one to three (1‑3) years experience required, prefer experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility.

Work Hours: Night shift: 7:00 pm‑7:30 am. All shifts include every other weekend. May be asked to work overtime and flexible hours.

Machines, Tools, & Equipment: Telephone, Shower/Bath, Audio‑visual equipment, EKG machine, Thermometer, Refrigerator, Radio, Blood Pressure Cuff, Vitals machine, Housekeeping and supplies, Copy Machine, Physical Restraints, First Aid items, and Shredder.
