The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health in Greenville, SC is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 156-bed behavioral health system dedicated to psychiatric and substance abuse care.

You will administer medications, perform nursing assessments, support crisis management, and help maintain a therapeutic milieu. Night shifts include every other weekend; ADN/BSN and SC RN license required, with 0–1 year experience preferred and a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN in nursing required.
• South Carolina RN license with current registration required; multi‑state license with SC in compact is acceptable.
• 0–1 year of experience required; 2+ years preferred in psychiatric patient care.
• Successful completion of required safety and CPR training before assignment.

Responsibilities

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently hiring registered nurses to join our team of dedicated professionals.

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina area. We specialize in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, serving Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Summary of Job Duties

To provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.

Essential Job Functions

• Administers patient medications prescribed by physician.
• Completes nursing assessment, updates treatment care plans, and participates in treatment planning.
• Helps maintain the therapeutic milieu on the unit, including, but not limited to, facilitation of community meetings.
• Maintains patient, program, department, and related documentation.
• Effectively manages psychiatric crisis emergency situations.

Qualifications

Education: ADN or BSN in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required.

License: South Carolina registered nurse license with current registration required. Multi‑state license with South Carolina included in the compact is also acceptable.

Experience: Zero‑one (0‑1) year of experience required; two (2) years of related experience preferred. Experience with psychiatric patient care techniques and an understanding of mental illness is preferred.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before unit orientation and prior to assisting with restraining procedures; successful certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR before taking an independent patient assignment.

Work Hours: Night shift: 7:00 pm–7:30 am. All shifts include every other weekend. May be asked to work overtime and flexible hours.
