Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking an experienced Public Safety Supervisor to lead frontline security operations. You will coordinate routine and emergency security activities, enforce healthcare regulations, and promote a secure work environment through proactive observation and intervention.

The role requires 4 years in security/public safety with supervisory potential, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 4 years of general security, military, or public safety experience with 2 years in a related role
• Equivalence of training and job experience for responsible handling of weapons and use of force.
• DL Number – Driver License valid in state
• IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor within 1 year
• Carry non-lethal weapons (Taser CEW) and/or baton
• Carry company-issued firearm
• Pass pre-employment psychological screening and maintain required certifications

Work Experience

• 4 years general security, military or other public safety experience required with two (2) years of experience in a related job where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty Required or


• an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required


• Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (IAHSS) within 1 Year Required


• Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton Required

• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed. Required
