Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a vigilant Security Supervisor to oversee Public Safety staff and coordinate all routine and emergency security activities. You will enforce regulations, advocate crime prevention, and ensure a secure work environment through observation, interaction, and intervention.

The role requires de-escalation of critical events, sound judgment with combative subjects, and rapid response to emergencies.

Competenze

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of general security/public safety experience required, with two years in a related role involving firearms.
• Equivalency of training/experience to demonstrate responsible weapons handling and use of force.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening.
• Must pass and maintain training to include Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed.
• Georgia POST certification preferred.

First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility. Supervise and develop junior officers.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 4 years general security, military or other public safety experience required with two (2) years of experience in a related job where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty Required or
• an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
• Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (IAHSS) within 1 Year Required
• Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton Required
• Carry company issued firearm Required
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed. Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
