Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a security professional to act as a first responder to emergencies within the facility, safeguarding patients, staff and visitors. The role involves routine safety and security duties, with emphasis on de-escalation and safe handling of potentially dangerous situations to protect people and property.

The ideal candidate will have a GED or high school diploma and at least two years in security or related public safety roles requiring firearm handling.

Competenze

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of general security, military or other public safety experience where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty.
• Equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience in general security, military or other public safety experience where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty Required or
• equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
• IAHSS - Certification As A Security Officer within 1 Year Required
• Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton Required
• Carry company issued firearm Required
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
