Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a security supervisor to oversee frontline security and Public Safety staff in a high‑risk healthcare setting. You will coordinate routine and emergency events, enforce PHC regulations, and promote a secure work environment through proactive observation and intervention.

The role emphasizes de‑escalation, rapid incident response, and development of junior officers, with required firearm and other certifications as listed.

Qualificações

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 4 years general security or public safety experience with 2 years in a related role requiring firearm carry.
• Demonstrated ability to handle weapons and use of force responsibly per policy.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening.
• Must complete and maintain firearms, Taser, baton, MHFA and other certifications as directed.

Responsibilities

Enforces all PHC regulations and applicable state and federal laws. Advocates crime prevention and a secure work environment through observation, interaction, and intervention. Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects. First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility. Supervise and develop junior officers.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 4 years general security, military or other public safety experience required with two (2) years of experience in a related job where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty Required or
• an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
• Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (IAHSS) within 1 Year Required
• Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton Required
• Carry company issued firearm Required
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed. Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
