Summary
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Store Leadership Team in the absence of a manager on the sales floor. The primary duties consist of supervising store staff, ensuring the highest level of customer engagement, and selling. The Shift Supervisor represents the brand, operates in a professional manner, engages customers, maintains store standards, and supports teamwork.
Physical requirements:
- Able to reach overhead, bend, kneel, and carry product for customer service, inventory restock, shipment processing, and merchandising.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must safely lift 50 lbs. without restrictions.
- Capable of performing regular maintenance tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning.
- Ability to use and climb ladders or step stools.
- Requires performing repetitive motions (e.g., hanging, folding, ringing up customers).
- Must handle difficult customers, houseless and/or transients, and avoid confrontations.
- Noise level in the workplace is moderate to loud.
- Adult content environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Store Management in generating sales potential by maintaining a constant presence on the sales floor and setting pace and energy, ensuring brand integrity.
- Hold store keys to open and close the store without management as necessary.
- Prioritize customer service and partner with Sales Associates to achieve sales goals and KPIs.
- Manage break schedules to ensure all zones are covered.
- Provide relevant and timely feedback, coaching, and redirection in customer engagement, selling, and sales floor etiquette.
- Assist in managing merchandise presentation, signage, and displays standards.
- Escalate performance concerns to the Store Manager.
- Motivate and inspire associates to build brand loyalty and create a positive store environment for both internal and external customers.
- Assist with store security including checking bags and monitoring fitting rooms.
- Ensure staff are treated professionally, courteously, and respectfully.
- Process return/exchange transactions, authorize promotional discounts and employee sales in the absence of a manager.
- Adhere to all LP policies and ensure compliance.
- Understand inventory management procedures fully.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of key holder experience in a retail setting preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Commit to two store closings per week, including one on Friday or Saturday.
- Ability to use retail POS system and inventory scanner.
- Able to make change using American monetary units.
- Can carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
- Completion of the Shift Supervisor three-month training program.
