Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a shift supervisor to manage day-to-day operations, oversee staff, and ensure precise timekeeping. You will coordinate with Account Managers and the General Manager to balance workload and uphold safety standards.

The role requires supervisory experience in shift work, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to resolve issues with staff and passengers while maintaining confidentiality. Training and adherence to SMS are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some supervisory/management in shift work environment experience necessary.
• Verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a reliable telephone and transportation.
• Treat all information as confidential.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public.
• Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
• Must complete a criminal background check.
• Must be able to read, understand, direct and carry out instructions in English.
• Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge.
• Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the INS.
• Be able to resolve problem situations with employees and passengers when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Schedule personnel daily and furnish copy to Account Manager. Obtain written approval for necessary use of overtime in advance.
• Monitor employee activity and make adjustments as needed.
• Ensure employees follow all regulations/procedures.
• Check In/Out sheets to insure all employees have logged in times correctly
• Deal fairly, courteously and tactfully with fellow employees while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with fellow employees and client representatives.
• Make recommendations to Account Manager regarding personnel performance.
• Report safety hazards and equipment problems to Account Manager or General Manager.
• Respond to inquiries from leads, employees, client, and passengers in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
