Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Full Time Direct Labor teammate to operate printing presses, monitor quality, and support finishing services for packaging materials. You will join 160 employee-owners in a collaborative environment and participate in our comprehensive training program.

The role requires operating state-of-the-art presses, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while advancing through a structured training program with meaningful career growth.

Qualifications

  • Willing to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
  • OSHA certification or safety training preferred.
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety and safety management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with production planning systems and manufacturing technologies.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production activities to meet safety, quantity, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and material flow for maximum efficiency.
  • Implement standard operating procedures and ensure consistent compliance.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to coordinate equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Champion workplace safety through personal example and reinforcement of safety protocols.
  • Perform routine safety audits and inspections to identify and address hazards.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures by all team members.
  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with scheduler, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize production flow.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels regarding production status.
  • Participate in problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide ongoing performance management through coaching and feedback to build competencies.
  • Utilize Gallup engagement data to engage direct reports.
  • Utilize ADP HRIS to manage attendance and reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative, safe, productive environment that encourages innovation.
  • Coordinate staffing levels and assignments to optimize productivity and control labor costs.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

The Role

You will operate state-of-the-art printing presses to deliver high-quality printing and finishing services for film, paper, and specialty materials. Working alongside 160 employee-owners in a collaborative environment, you'll monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in our comprehensive training program while serving essential markets including food, consumer goods, industrial, and healthcare.

Schedule:Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule

  • 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am)
What You'll Do
  • Execute and coordinate production activities to meet safety, quantity, quality, and delivery targets
  • Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and material flow for maximum efficiency
  • Implement standard operating procedures and ensure consistent compliance
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and quality issues promptly
  • Collaborate with maintenance to coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Champion workplace safety through personal example and consistent reinforcement of safety protocols
  • Perform routine safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety procedures by all team members
  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards and customer specifications
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement
  • Partner with scheduler, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize production flow
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization regarding production status
  • Participate in problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Provides ongoing performance management through regular coaching, feedback, and 1:1 sessions to build core competencies, drive development and engagement, address performance issues, and hold staff accountable for improving results.
  • Utilize Gallup engagement survey data to develop and engage direct reports
  • Utilize HRIS system (ADP) to manage attendance, performance reviews, etc
  • Foster a collaborative, safe, and productive work environment that encourages innovation
  • Coordinate staffing levels and assignments to optimize productivity and control labor costs
  • Other Duties assigned by management

Essential Qualifications:
