Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the night shift on a full-time basis.

You will operate state-of-the-art printing presses, monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in a comprehensive training program alongside 160 employee-owners. Qualifications

3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; flexographic or printing industry preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills with a sense of urgency in a production environment.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on flexographic printing presses, dryers, and related systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults including PLC-controlled systems, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, and HMI panels.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure health and safety standards.
Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems and keep accurate maintenance records.

The Role

You will operate state-of-the-art printing presses to deliver high-quality printing and finishing services for film, paper, and specialty materials. Working alongside 160 employee-owners in a collaborative environment, you'll monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in our comprehensive training program while serving essential markets including food, consumer goods, industrial, and healthcare.

Schedule

Schedule:Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule

12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am)

What You’ll Do

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on flexographic printing presses, dryers, anilox roll systems, and rewind/unwind stations
Diagnose and repair electrical faults including PLC-controlled systems, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, and HMI panels
Read and interpret electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems associated with press operations
Conduct inspections and scheduled PM tasks per OEM guidelines and internal maintenance schedules
Respond promptly to breakdown calls to minimize production downtime
Replace and align print cylinders, impression rollers, and web-guiding components
Maintain ink delivery systems, pumps, and viscosity control equipment
Ensure all electrical work complies with NFPA 70 (NEC), OSHA, and company safety standards
Coordinate with press operators and production supervisors to schedule maintenance windows
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history in CMMS
Order and manage spare parts inventory for critical equipment
Support installation and commissioning of new press equipment
Perform maintenance of electrical systems
Maintain heating and plumbing systems or ensure functionality
Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed
Perform manual repairs when necessary
Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; flexographic or printing industry preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills with a sense of urgency in a production environment
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical/Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent trade experience
Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
Strong communication skills and positive attitude
Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
