Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the mechanical roll repair shop, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of customer roll repairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5+ years' experience with paper machine rolls.
• Knowledge of machine tool and fabricating operations with mechanical aptitude.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support second-shift technicians in daily repair of mechanical rolls.
• Ensure work is safe, efficient, and follows procedures and quality requirements.
• Monitor production flow, priorities, and turnaround times to keep work moving.
• Provide hands-on guidance and coaching to a developing workforce.
• Identify quality issues early and elevate concerns when needed.
• Coordinate with first-shift supervision to ensure smooth shift transitions.
