Qualifications

• Massachusetts Second Level Engineer's License is required.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory or engineering experience in heavy industrial, power generation, or resource recovery.
• Hands-on experience with high‑pressure boilers, steam turbines, and electric generating equipment.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems in steam plants.
• Able to work rotating shifts; capable of climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs; work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Must wear full-face respirators; work in varied weather conditions.

• Monitor fuel processing system and operate boilers, turbines, and steam plant equipment during shift.
• Ensure safety, environmental permits, and procedural compliance.
• Approve equipment removal for maintenance, issue safety permits, and oversee clearance processes.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergencies to maintain safe operations.

About the role

We are seeking a Shift Engineer with a Massachusetts Second Level Engineer’s License to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our steam plant during assigned shifts. This role is critical to maintaining plant reliability, safety, and environmental compliance. Qualifications

Pay Transparency

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $108,900.00 - $155,600.00 USD per annum
