Reworld is seeking a Shift Engineer with a Massachusetts Second Level Engineer’s License to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our steam plant during assigned shifts. This role is critical to maintaining plant reliability, safety, and environmental compliance, with a clear path to operations and facilities leadership.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Massachusetts Second Level Engineer's License and maintain active state licenses.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or engineering experience in heavy industrial, power generation, or resource recovery settings.
• Hands-on experience with high‑pressure boilers, steam turbines, and electric generating equipment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and meet physical demands, including climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the fuel processing system and operate boilers, turbines, and other steam plant equipment on shift.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental permits, and procedures.
• Lead and train shift personnel to maintain a skilled, safety-conscious workforce.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Participate in projects to improve plant performance and efficiency.

The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
