Job summary

City of Bloomfield Aquatic Center is seeking a Pool Shift Supervisor / Lifeguard to oversee pool operations, lead lifeguard staff, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for visitors. The role combines supervision with hands-on lifeguarding for a fun summer experience.

Requirements include 18+, Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain), and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Seasonal schedule with evenings and weekends available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications required (or ability to obtain before employment).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to swim, stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool operations during assigned shifts.
• Lead and support lifeguard staff.
• Keep swimmers safe by enforcing pool rules and maintaining vigilance.

Do you love being around people, staying active, and making a difference in your community? The City of Bloomfield Aquatic Center is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic team member to join our aquatics team as a Pool Shift Supervisor / Lifeguard!

This is more than just a lifeguarding job. You'll help create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment where families make memories and kids build confidence in the water.

Pay

• $15.50/hour - No lifeguard experience required
• $16.50/hour - Experienced Lifeguards
• 20-30 hours per week - seasonal
• Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends

What You'll Do
