Job summary

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Food Service Shift Supervisor to direct daily kitchen operations in county jail facilities, ensuring quality and compliance with USDA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines.

Responsibilities include supervising food service workers and inmate crews, planning schedules, training staff, and maintaining safety, sanitation, and inventory. Background check required and Arizona driver''s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of high-volume food prep experience and one year of supervisory experience.
• Valid Arizona driver''s license or ability to obtain by hire date.
• Background check required.
• Diet preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line supervision for food service workers and inmates.
• Plan schedules and approve time in Workday payroll system.
• Prepare employee performance appraisals on a regular basis.
• Direct inmate meals to meet health and sanitation standards and assign daily jobs.
• Train employees on food handling techniques and safety.
• Inspect facilities daily to ensure safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain inventory and control supplies.
• Monitor HACCP compliance and food temperatures.
• Generate reports on production statistics for management.
