AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager in leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity. They train high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, drive sales, control expenses and shrink, and ensure compliance with company procedures in accordance with AutoZone’s expectations. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

1. Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
2. Assume responsibility for store operation and the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
3. Assist with management of the Commercial and Hub Departments, ensuring commercial accounts and store deliveries are serviced as promised.
4. Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks.
5. Operate cash registers and handle cash duties, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
6. Follow all company policies and loss prevention procedures.
7. Utilize ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives.
8. Maintain a safe working environment, including the implementation of PPE practices.
9. Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security control.
10. Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
11. Conduct opening and closing procedures.
12. Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures.
13. Follow proper accident procedures.
14. Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager.
15. Monitor and manage activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment.
16. Address customer concerns with the goal of turning complaints into compliments.
17. Process returns and manage inventory effectively.
18. Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner.
19. Motivate AutoZoners to provide WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and market products to increase sales and profits.

Position Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. ASE Certified preferred.
3. Demonstrate high integrity.
4. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to drive customer service.
