AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance with AutoZone’s expectations. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
• Take responsibility for store operations and the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
• Help manage the Commercial and Hub Departments (if applicable) to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced, and deliveries are made as promised.
• Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks.
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
• Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed.
• Use ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners implement safety practices, including PPE.
• Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
• Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
• Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures.
• Manage emergency situations and execute proper emergency procedures.
• Follow proper accident procedures.
• Provide performance feedback to AutoZoners and communicate issues to the store manager.
• Assist in monitoring and managing activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment.
• Address customer concerns promptly, aiming to turn complaints into compliments.
• Process returns and manage inventory effectively.
• Report AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager confidentially and in a timely manner.
• Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, improve productivity, and market products to increase sales and profits.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Demonstrate high integrity.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to drive customer service.
