AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance with AutoZone’s expectations. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel
• Take responsibility for store operation and commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts
• Help manage the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and store deliveries are serviced as promised
• Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks
• Operate cash registers and follow cash handling duties, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability
• Follow all company policies and loss prevention procedures
• Use ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find alternatives
• Maintain a safe working environment, including proper PPE implementation
• Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security control
• Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards
• Conduct opening and closing procedures
• Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures
• Follow proper accident procedures
• Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager
• Assist in monitoring and managing Risk & Safety activities to maintain a safe environment
• Address customer concerns and aim to turn complaints into compliments
• Process returns and manage inventory effectively
• Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager promptly and confidentially
• Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, improve productivity, and promote sales

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• ASE Certification preferred
• High integrity
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to drive customer service
