AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance with AutoZone’s expectations. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

1. Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel
2. Assume responsibility for store operation and the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager during assigned shifts
3. Manage the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and store deliveries are serviced as promised
4. Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks
5. Operate cash registers and handle cash duties including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability
6. Follow all company policies and loss prevention procedures
7. Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives
8. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners follow safety practices, including PPE
9. Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls
10. Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards
11. Conduct opening and closing procedures
12. Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures
13. Follow proper accident procedures
14. Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager
15. Monitor and manage activities related to Risk & Safety Management to ensure a safe work environment
16. Address customer concerns and resolve them with the goal of turning complaints into compliments
17. Process returns and manage inventory effectively
18. Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager confidentially and promptly
19. Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and market products to increase sales and profits

Position Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. ASE Certified preferred
3. Demonstrates high integrity
4. Excellent communication and decision-making skills
5. Ability to drive customer service
