Job summary

Break Time Savannah is seeking a Shift Leader to assist with daily store operations, oversee cash handling and reports, and support the management team. This role emphasizes fast, friendly service and adherence to merchandising standards.

Responsibilities include inventory, banking, opening/closing duties, and training new staff, while maintaining cleanliness and safety. Applicants must be 18+, have a valid license, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer-service oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with reliable transportation to bank.
• Flexible availability which may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change and complete shift reports.
• Physical ability to move and position products; stand for up to 9 hours; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and encouraging the team to do the same; greet and thank each customer and provide fast, friendly service; support peak hours; handle complaints quickly and courteously; conduct accurate and efficient transactions.
• Assist in all aspects of store operation including daily reporting, banking, inventory, bookkeeping, fuel management, and ensuring the facility and equipment are well maintained and in good condition; maintain store cleanliness; ensure timely open and close and observation of all hours; execute food programs and promotions.
• Assist in proper merchandising and promotions; ensure pricing accuracy and stock levels; keep merchandise clean and faced (including the cooler).
• Supervise assigned shifts in the manager’s absence; train new employees on policies and procedures; provide input for performance evaluations; promote food service and safety.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customers, vendors, staff, and management regarding store operations.
• Understand store finances; control merchandise and cash shortages; participate in audits; meet or exceed sales and expense goals; perform loss control functions.
• Exhibit professionalism and teamwork; recruit, train, and develop staff; comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
