Job summary

Break Time Convenience Store is seeking a Shift Leader to assist with day-to-day store operations, supervise shifts, manage transactions, and support food service and safety programs. You will help with banking, inventory, merchandising, and ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and compliant with policies.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and leadership, with opportunities to train new staff and contribute to achieving sales and expense targets in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with transportation to bank
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform math to make change and complete shift reports
• Able to learn concepts, operate a computer and office productivity tools
• Physically able to move products in cooler/freezer and stand up to 9 hours
• English communication proficiency and pre-employment checks
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers warmly
• Assist in daily store operations: banking, inventory, bookkeeping, fuel management, and maintenance
• Support merchandising, pricing, promotions, and stocking of merchandise
• Supervise shifts in the manager's absence and train new staff
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and team
• Assist with cash handling, audits, and loss prevention measures
• Utilize POS and store tech for transactions and reporting
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned
