Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Immokalee is seeking a Shift Supervisor, Facilities to oversee general maintenance trades on a full-time basis. The role requires supervising mechanics, scheduling tasks, and ensuring safety, while coordinating with other departments to minimize guest disruption.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, prefer a trade certificate and Florida license, and 1–3 years of facilities maintenance experience, with casino environment experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance in commercial/industrial settings
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a casino environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of general maintenance mechanics and tradespeople on assigned shift
  • Assign jobs and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Perform routine field inspections on-site and off-site locations
  • Maintain knowledge of fire, health, safety, and environmental standards and codes
  • Respond to emergencies in a timely manner
  • Coordinate maintenance projects with appropriate departments to minimize guest disruption
  • Oversee supervision of maintenance and repair at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino facilities
  • Instruct and train others as appropriate
  • Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment and interact with internal departments

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must adhere to Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures. Supervise, assign jobs, and ensure timely completion of projects by maintenance mechanics. Perform routine field inspections on-site and at off-site locations. Prepare technical reports and maintains logbooks as required. Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety, and environmental standards as well as relevant state, local, and national codes. React in a timely manner to emergency situations. Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate department to ensure minimal guest interruption. To oversee the supervision of maintenance and repair at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino facilities and equipment.Instruct and train others as appropriate. Adhere to all Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Policies and Procedures Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma, trade school certificate preferred. Valid State of Florida trade license preferred. One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in commercial/industry facilities maintenance preferred. One (1) to three (3) years experience in a casino environment.**WORK ENVIRONMENT*** While performing the duties of this job, team member is regularly required to stand, walk, and demonstrate high-mobility for a majority of the shift.* Will also regularly: speak and listen to internal and external customer directions or orders in an atmosphere of varying background noise; transit across surfaces that may alternate between carpeted and hard surfaces; walk through slippery surfaces and/or sloping floors or stairs; use hands to finger, handle or feel small objects such paper or cloth; and reach with hands and arms overhead and from side to side.* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception. Will often transit between brightly lit and dimly lit areas, including flashing lights and computer or TV screens.* Position requires bending, lifting and carrying supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds, will be required to use, push and pull wheeled hand-carts or other equipment weighing in excess of 100 lbs.* Will regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and twist at the waist. May occasionally be exposed to bodily fluids, pet or service animals, and strong odors.* Will regularly be exposed to tobacco and other second hand smoke.* May occasionally use de-escalation techniques to resolve customer conflict.* Will be required to assist in customer evacuation in case of emergency.**CLOSING**The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.
