Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of security supervisor experience in a high-volume casino environment.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Must communicate with guests and employees in a positive manner and use good judgment in intense situations.
  • Must be computer literate; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining efficient operation of the Security Department and Fire Command Center in the absence of a Security Shift Manager.
  • Conduct background investigations as assigned and inquire into alleged misconduct.
  • Coordinate activities with local and state law enforcement officials.
  • Prepare and review incident reports; direct and delegate tasks to Security Officers.
  • Communicate policy changes and special events; ensure positive guest interactions.
  • Monitor emergencies and respond according to regulations and procedures.

To see our fill list of Team Member Benefits please visit our career site: www.gotoworkhappy.com/benefits **Job Description:**Under the direction of the Security Shift Manager the incumbent assists in maintaining efficient overall operation of the Security Department as well as the Fire Command Center in the absence of a Security Shift Manager.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS****:**May include but are not limited to:* Conducting background investigations as assigned* Inquire and investigate assigned alleged instances of misconduct* Must be able to conduct self in accordance with the Gaming Commission Regulations as well as company and departmental policies and procedures* Coordinate activities with local and state law enforcement officials* Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures* Prepares detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner* Reviews all incident reports for accuracy submitted by Security Officers* Directs and delegates responsibilities to the Security Officers* Communicates all policy changes, memorandums, and special events on a daily basis* Communicates with guests and other employees in a positive manner, both in oral and written forms* Evaluates his/her subordinate’s performance* Coordinates emergency situations**QUALIFICATIONS:*** High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required, some college preferred* Minimum of three(3) years of security supervisor experience in a high volume casino complex environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience* Excellent communication and time management skills* Must be able to communicate with guests and other employees in a positive manner* Must have ability to use good judgment in intense situations* Must be able to interface effectively with property management staff, Seminole Police, and other law enforcement officials* Must be able to promote an outgoing, friendly customer oriented personality at all times* Must provide adequate protection for the safety and assets of patrons, employees, and the company* Must be able to wear a radio earphone without any medical limitations* Must be computer literate* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word is preferred* Must have valid Motor Vehicle License with good driving record**WORK ENVIRONMENT****:*** May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds or more.
