Job summary

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center in Washington, UT is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead our trauma-informed, residential program for adolescents ages 12-17. Hours are 1:30pm to 11:30pm, Sunday to Tuesday and every other Wednesday, with compensation of $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

You will supervise staff, train and orient new hires, conduct weekly trainings, evaluate performance, manage disciplinary actions, and ensure safety through drills and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Residential Treatment Center or Inpatient setting.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Experience with adolescent teenagers.
• Skilled in de-escalation and managing high-acuity situations.
• Strong leadership to coach and support staff.
• Able to make quick decisions during safety incidents.
• Maintains firm boundaries and emotionally regulated behavior.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and train staff during your shift, providing a presence of knowledge and guidance.
• Delegate responsibilities to shift team members as appropriate to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide new hires with comprehensive on-shift orientation, following the provided checklist.
• Continuously train and develop shift members, conducting formal weekly training meetings.
• Evaluate the performance of shift members on an ongoing basis, with formal quarterly evaluations.
• Manage disciplinary actions when necessary, utilizing formal methods such as verbal warnings, write-ups, probation, suspension, or termination.
• Maintain open lines of communication by sharing pertinent events during shift change meetings.
• Represent your shift at the weekly interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
• Conduct safety drills quarterly as instructed by the Lead Supervisor to ensure a safe environment.
• Execute the program events calendar, contributing to a well-rounded experience for students.

• Leadership Meeting Participation: Act as a representative for your shift at the weekly interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
• Safety Compliance: Conduct safety drills quarterly as instructed by the Lead Supervisor to ensure a safe environment.
• Program Execution: Execute the program events calendar, contributing to a well-rounded experience for students.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• 2 years working in a Residential Treatment Center or Inpatient Setting.
• 1 year of leadership experience.
• Experience working with adolescent teenagers.
• Skilled in de-escalation and managing high-acuity, emotionally charged situations.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach and support staff.
• Comfortable making quick decisions and leading during safety-related incidents.
• Maintains firm boundaries and models emotionally regulated behavior.

Required

• Meets Core Requirements: Must be 21+, hold a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver's license with a clean record, and pass a Utah State background check.
