- Massachusetts Second Class Engineer License is essential.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or engineering experience in power generation or heavy industry.

- Familiarity with steam plant instrumentation, control systems and industrial procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required.

A Shift Engineer / Steam Plant Engineer / Power Plant Engineer is required to oversee steam plant and power generation operations at a heavy industrial facility in Rochester, Massachusetts.
Offering a base salary of $108,900 - $155,600 plus a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for qualified candidates, this position provides an opportunity for an experienced Massachusetts-licensed engineer to take responsibility for high-pressure boilers, steam turbines, electrical generating equipment and critical plant systems.
The Shift Engineer will oversee plant operations during rotating shifts, working alongside maintenance, engineering and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable and environmentally compliant energy production. - Minimum 3 years of supervisory or engineering experience within power generation, resource recovery or another heavy industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience operating high-pressure boilers, steam turbines and electrical generating equipment.
- Familiarity with steam plant instrumentation, control systems and industrial operating procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond effectively to operational issues and emergency situations.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights or in confined spaces, and wearing a full-face respirator.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience within power generation, waste-to-energy, utility operations, cogeneration, industrial steam plants or marine engineering.
- Experience supervising plant operators, coordinating maintenance activities or supporting operational improvement projects.
