Qualifications

• Massachusetts Second Class Engineer License is essential.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or engineering experience in power generation or heavy industry.
• Hands-on experience operating high‑pressure boilers, steam turbines and electrical generating equipment.
• Familiarity with steam plant instrumentation, control systems and industrial procedures.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergencies.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient operation of boilers, steam turbines and electrical generating equipment.
• Monitor plant performance, fuel processing operations and auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, procedures and safety regulations.
• Coordinate equipment shutdowns, maintenance clearances and safety permits.
• Troubleshoot operational issues with maintenance teams to resolve faults.
• Lead, train and support shift personnel for safe operation.
• Respond to plant emergencies and coordinate appropriate actions.
• Support plant reliability and continuous improvement projects.
