Job summary

Emmy Squared Queen Village is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team. You will work alongside the General Manager, supervising daily restaurant operations and guiding front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage service flow in a fast-paced setting. This is a full-time/part-time position with a focus on guest satisfaction and adherence to health standards.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant shift lead or supervisory experience in a full-service setting.
• Strong leadership with experience guiding service recovery.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while delegating tasks.
• Proficient computer skills and strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs, stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of front-of-house staff daily.
• Oversee service flow and delegate tasks during service.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and handle service recovery as needed.
• Provide welcoming, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Ensure food and drinks are prepared and served to standard.

• Identify hazards and initiate corrective actions for a safe workplace.

As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for working alongside the General Manager performing daily supervisory tasks and overseeing daily restaurant operational tasks.

Shift Supervisor Key Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of the front of house employees on a daily basis, ensuring policies and processes are being followed and inspecting operational flow on a continuous basis.
• Responsible for overseeing the floor during service; ensuring the team stays on task and delegating assignments as needed.
• Ensure guest satisfaction; interacting with guests and engaging in service recovery when issues arise.
• Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
• Ensure that all food and beverages are consistently prepared and served according to presentation standards and recipes.
• Be proactive in reaching our Company goals in sales, service, appearance; while creating a positive, fun and productive working environment
• Ensure compliance with department of health standards, maintaining superior cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant.
• Identify potential safety hazards and initiate corrective action; ensuring the restaurant is safe for both employees and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift Supervisor Qualifications

• Previous restaurant shift lead / supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant required.
• Candidate must have well developed leadership skills, with experience engaging in the service recovery process.
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment while effectively delegating tasks.
• Must be proficient with computers and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift / carry items up to 40 lbs. and push / pull items up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching overhead.
