Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career while working with an extraordinary team? At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking Shift Supervisor to join our team at our program in Coraopolis, PA.

This is a professional supervisory position responsible for first-line supervision of subordinate Residential Services staff on the 2nd shift. This position reports to the Residential Services Director.

Earn up to $21.25/hr with the selection of enhanced pay

Examples of Work Performed
  1. Develops effective work schedules for subordinate staff in coordination with the Residential Services Director.
  2. Advises the Residential Services Director on the need for new and/or revised policies and ensures all policies of AVS are implemented.
  3. Makes frequent inspections of all residential units.
  4. Maintains all records pertinent to their area of responsibility.
  5. Ensures that cleaning supplies and personal hygiene supplies are stocked in sufficient quantities in the residential area.
  6. Assists staff with residents’ maladaptive behaviors and acts as Authorized Person as needed in behavioral situations.
  7. Works with staff to ensure the effective operation of the residential units.
  8. Conducts and attends in-service programs as required.
  9. Directs, coordinates, and evaluates staff performance to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  10. Works closely with other departments to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  11. Monitors all documentation required of direct care staff, such as goal plans, behavior management plans, and healthcare plans.
  12. Prepares and submits recommendations to the Residential Services Director on matters requiring action, providing necessary facts and reports.
  13. Informs and advises the Residential Services Director about activities, practices, and problems of the residential units.
  14. Holds meetings as necessary for discussing matters concerning individuals and residential units.
  15. Delegates tasks at own discretion, understanding that delegation does not relieve final responsibility.
  16. Makes recommendations for improvements, alterations, and changes in the residential units.
  17. Conducts fire drills and assists in monitoring emergency equipment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following Qualifications
  1. A 4-year college degree.
  2. Or three years of prior work experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and physical disabilities in a similar setting.
  3. Or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

A current and valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required.
