Job summary

MAU is seeking a dedicated Supervisory leader to guide shift operations and supervise MAU staff across assets on rotating shifts. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and talent development to meet client objectives.

You will provide coaching, training, and mentoring, support Leader Standard Work, and ensure compliance with plant standards and MAU policies while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of the MAU staff assigned to specific assets on rotating shift operation.
  • Flow to work scheduling based on production.
  • Subject Matter Expert with processes and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure processes are completed to plant standards and MAU policies.
  • Manage multiple raw materials with critical process variables.
  • Help maintain safety as a top priority and manage incidents.

Job description

Summary/Objective

To provide team leadership and management to attain safety, quality, delivery, cost and talent building objectives for the MAU associates supporting the client.

Essential Functions
Customer Expectations
  • Provide supervision of the MAU staff assigned to specific assets on rotating shift operation.
  • Flow to work scheduling based on production
  • Subject Matter Expert with processes and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that processes are completed to plant standards.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state and local laws.
  • Management of multiple raw materials that have critical process variables that must be controlled.
Talent Management
  • Provide leadership to Associates within the Depts. as well as across the facility.
  • Sustain and support Leader Standard Work for MAU.
  • Assist with conflict resolution between employees and the customer as well as between employees.
  • Provide coaching, training and mentoring to all MAU employees..
Crisis Management
  • On shift MAU safety issues, injuries, property damage and personnel incident reporting security compliance, post-accident reports and drug screen.
Operational Management
  • Supervise the BC, CC, and logistics departments with safety as priority number one.
  • Ensure profitability of the plant by controlling costs and managing the workforce to best meet the customer's needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to help gain operational excellence and reduce costs.
  • Provide outstanding Customer Service.
  • Investigate Material damage, material shortage.
  • Ensure compliance with plant housekeeping standards, dress code and MAU policies.
  • Update communication boards and address issues that are "Red".
  • Employee attendance counseling.
  • Payroll/KRONOS maintenance.
  • Active participation in Simple Problem solving.
  • Sustain and support Leader Standard Work for MAU.
  • Sustain and support Standard Work at the team member level for MAU.
Other Duties

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years applicable experience
Supervisory Responsibility

Direct the activity of shift supervision 45 up to 75 hourly employees on site at the client.

Work Environment or Working Conditions

The working conditions and environments that are created by our customer's facilities both in administrative areas and manufacturing environments. Working conditions will typically be manufacturing or warehouse settings that may include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles. Environments may vary from non-air conditioned (hot/cold) environments to GMP clean room required.

Physical Demands

This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be able to walk up to 8+ miles daily.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
Travel

Occasional travel may be needed but limited to less than 25 miles per month
