Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Production Supervisor to join the client’s team in Mechanicsburg, PA. The role supports the production process within the Operations Department and requires strong communication and proactive leadership to ensure efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include overseeing packaging operations, interpreting BOMs/SOPs, coaching staff, and ensuring GMP compliance. The position offers a third shift (Sun-Thu 10:30 PM–6:30 AM) with a pay range around $29.63/hr DOE and growth

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/packaging supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of GMPs and lot control.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to train employees when needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others.

  • Supervise multiple department positions including Supervisor, Quality Inspector and Line Lead.
  • Read and interpret Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Instructions, and SOPs.
  • Coordinate packaging to meet production and quality standards.
  • Coach and train employees on manual operations of folding packaging materials, case packing, and palletizing.
  • Communicate performance standards and address performance issues.
  • Perform product changeovers and manage packaging material staging for new orders.

Pay Range:$ 29.63/hrDOE

Shift:3rdShift - Sun- Thursday 10:30 pm - 6:30 am

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an ProductionSupervisorto join their team. As an ProductionSupervisor, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the production process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
  • Backup for multiple department positions; Supervisor, Quality Inspector and Line Lead.
  • Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Instructions, and SOPs
  • Coordinate packaging activities to ensure production and quality of products meet company standards.
  • Assist with skill development and coaching of new or existing employees. Train employees to perform manual operations of folding packaging materials, case packing, and palletizing.
  • Communicate performance standards to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
  • Perform product changeovers and staging packaging materials for use of new production orders.
  • Maintain production areas in a neat, orderly condition consistent with good manufacturing practices including routinely organizing workspaces, removing debris or unnecessary materials, and ensuring equipment and surfaces remain clean to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure all company safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment, including PPE (i.e. safety glasses, steel tip shoes etc.).
  • Manage the workforce to achieve productive goals and performance standards.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Performs accident investigations as required.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and systematic transactions of packaging materials, Finished Good Pallets and personnel.
  • Control inventory of supplies, packaging materials, work in process items, and scrap within the assigned area. This includes tracking quantities, ensuring materials are properly labeled and stored, monitoring usage throughout production, and documenting any variances or waste.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/packaging supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of lot control products and GMPs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to train employees when needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of people.
  • Ability to motivate others to work towards an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to stand or walk for entire 8-10 hour shift.
