Job summary

Merakey is hiring a Direct Support Professional for Crafton/Pittsburgh, PA. The role covers evenings, weekends, and overnights with PRN flexible scheduling. Earn up to $22.50/hr with enhanced pay options.

• Experience in training and orientation of new staff is preferred.

Job description

Position: Direct Support Professional
Location: Crafton/Pittsburgh , PA

Pay Rate: Earn up to 20.50per hr , 22.50 per hr with election of enhanced Pay

S hifts available: evenings, weekends, overnights., PRN Flexible

Develops effective working schedules and staff coverage for their shift.

Supervises and coordinates daily routine.

Assists in the development of policies and procedures with regard to shift routines.

Formulates, organizes and conducts training programs, orientation of new staff and management training.

Works with Apartment Manager and Assistant Manager to direct, coordinate and discipline staff to ensure adherence to facility policies and ICF/IDD regulations.

Maintains accurate records pertinent to their area; i.e. staff Attendance Charts, in-service training, etc.

Maintains supplies, office supplies, forms and records, etc.

Assists staff with resident discipline and care.

Assists staff and Apartment management to ensure the effective operation of residential areas.

Works closely with other departments to ensure the needs of the residents are met.

Is flexible with regard to their work schedule.

Conducts fire drills, checks smoke detectors and pull stations weekly.

Assists with interviewing applicants.

Reviews staff development and performance evaluations, makes recommendations for staff promotions.

Makes frequent inspections of the facility and monitors overall operations.

Enforces and advises the Residential Service Director about any concerns or problems.
