Job summary

Enviva in Florida is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the plant shift, drive safety, quality and cost performance, and coordinate daily production activities. You will assign tasks, monitor productivity and ensure equipment is used and maintained properly.

The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing, strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and overnight as needed in outdoor industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years industrial/manufacturing experience/wood products background.
• Proficient in basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a team player/previous management a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily and consistent communications and shift meetings.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the shift to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and maintaining high-quality output . The supervisor also addresses any issues on the production floor, ensures equipment is safely used and well-maintained a nd provides regular reports on production progress.

Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set You Apart

• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
• Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overnight to address unexpected site issues.
• Climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis up to 100 ft
• Must be able to push, pull and lift items up to 50 lbs
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
