Job summary

Trillium Staffing in Brighton, MI is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity. You will lead the production team on the 2nd shift, ensure quality standards, and promote a safe, efficient workplace.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coordinating schedules, training and evaluating staff, and maintaining 5S and ISO/IATF compliance. Prior supervision in manufacturing and forklift readiness are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with injection molding processes is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and lead by example.
• Forklift experience or willingness to become certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support production employees during your shift.
• Assign team members to workstations and manage production schedules.
• Monitor production performance and troubleshoot molding process issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure products meet quality standards by working closely with the Quality team.
• Complete monthly employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Maintain production records, downtime logs, and process documentation.
• Oversee preventive maintenance activities and coordinate tool changes.
• Prepare production and equipment for the next shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting 5S initiatives.
• Follow ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 standards, as well as FIFO inventory practices.

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a Production Shift Supervisor to lead our production team, ensure quality standards are met, and promote a safe, productive workplace.

What You’ll Do
