Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Captain to lead shift security operations in a correctional setting. You will supervise staff, manage detainee safety, and ensure compliance with facility policies. The role requires strong leadership and detailed record-keeping to support daily operations.

As a key member of GEO Secured Services, you will coordinate with other departments, respond to incidents, and implement emergency procedures while upholding regulatory requirements and inmate welfare.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a correctional setting with supervisory responsibilities.
• Must be emotionally stable, flexible, cooperative and empathetic to inmates' needs.
• Able to interpret complex written and verbal instructions and coordinate staff.

Responsibilities

• Directs security and control operations as shift commander.
• Oversees staff, detainee supervision, and safety; prepares records and reports.
• Develops and implements custody, security, and treatment policies and procedures.
