Job summary

Atalco Gramercy is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee safety and health on the shift, focusing on compliance, hazard recognition, abatement, and risk reduction. The role drives behavioral change to promote a culture of safety within the plant.

Key duties include developing risk assessment methods, delivering training, leading the Shift Safety Committee, and ensuring adherence to MSHA and company policies. Must have OSHA credentials and 3–5 years manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years in an occupational safety or industrial hygiene role.
• Possess a 30-hour OSHA safety certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safety ownership through the safety management system.
• Develop risk assessment methods to identify and evaluate hazards.
• Set safety objectives and measures to prioritize and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety laws, regulations and company policies.
• Deliver safety training to employees.
• Lead the Shift Safety Committee and daily safety audits.
