Job summary

Silfab Solar Inc. is seeking a Shift Safety Coordinator to support the safety program on the production floor. You will ensure safe work practices, coordinate daily safety activities, and reinforce compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.

This role operates during assigned production shifts and serves as the go‑to safety resource for supervisors and frontline employees, driving corrective actions and promoting a safety‑first culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety principles and compliance practices.
• Strong observation and communication of corrective actions.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine safety walkthroughs during each shift to identify hazards and at‑risk conditions.
• Support supervisors in maintaining safe production processes and housekeeping standards.
• Respond to safety concerns, near misses, and incidents promptly; drive corrective actions.
• Escalate urgent hazards and coordinate interim controls to protect employees.
• Assist with pre‑start safety checks (PPE readiness, LOTO awareness, machine guarding).
• Maintain safety records and ensure training is current for assigned areas.
• Lead or assist with toolbox talks and safety training refreshers.
