Job summary

Salm Partners in Wisconsin is seeking a QA Supervisor to lead the QA Technicians on the shift, ensuring compliance with USDA-FSIS and SQF standards, analyzing quality data, and driving corrective actions.

You will partner with Operations and Maintenance to uphold food safety, perform internal audits, assist with supplier audits, and contribute to new product rollouts and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years QA experience in USDA-FSIS regulated food manufacturing, preferably ready-to-eat meats.
• Knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative standards (SQF) and root-cause problem solving.
• Experience with USDA-FSIS label approval process desirable.
• Understanding of meat processing and USDA-FSIS regulations for fully cooked products.
• Experience with process improvement and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QA Technicians, assign schedules, and oversee projects.
• Monitor attendance, back-ups, and report absences to HR.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure food safety and quality.
• Interpret customer requirements for production teams.
• Audit processes to meet customer specs; perform root-cause analysis.
• Design methods for process control and improvements.
• Analyze quality data and communicate trends to management.
• Coordinate internal quality audits.
• Assist with supplier quality audits as requested.
• Support SQF recertification and compliance.
• Provide training to QA staff.
