Job summary

TekniPlex is hiring a 1st Shift Supervisor for our South Madison, WI facility. The role directs shift team members, oversees health & safety, maintenance, and supports engineering and MOS implementation to sustain lean improvements.

A successful candidate will lead with servant leadership, analyze data for trends and quality, and ensure production meets specifications while collaborating with supply chain and customer support. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to lead, train and supervise personnel.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills are a must.
• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and MOS implementation.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (PDCA, root cause analysis).
• Ability to work with all levels of management and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises up to 20 employees in the Production team; approves timecards.
• Plans, trains, motivates, monitors and evaluates performance; ensures safe operation of equipment.
• Responsible for processes, equipment, safety, and housekeeping; meets quality standards.
• Support plant to manufacture and deliver quality products; meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, product management and customer support.
• Facilitate training and development in lean techniques; active Plant Safety Team member.
• Initiate actions to prevent non-conformances related to product, process and systems.
• Work with leadership to establish plant KPIs and investigate Material Usage Variance.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment modifications and preventive/predictive maintenance.
