Job summary

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a 1st shift Production Shift Lead at our Allentown, PA plant to oversee packing or assembly lines and assist with Line Coordinators. You will ensure efficient setup, production scheduling and quality control, while guiding contract workers and maintaining safety and GMP standards.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish capability, high school diploma, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong reading, writing and math to maintain production reports.
• Basic MS Excel skills beneficial.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up assembly or packing line efficiently and ensure smooth line transitions.
• Ensure quality of finished product.
• Follow all procedures and work instructions for production.
• Be the first on floor to understand new display information.
• Provide clear instructions to contract workers.
• Complete line paperwork and data reporting in appropriate systems.
• Meet production schedule and ensure full completion.
• Report problems or out-of-standard conditions to supervisor.
• Collaborate with supply to maintain raw material availability.
• Coordinate with shipping to ensure prompt removal of finished goods.
• Assist training of production associates and line coordinators.
• Enforce safety and GMP rules.
