Job summary

Royer Corporation seeks a Production Lead to direct and coordinate production activities on a shift at the Royer North facility in Madison, Indiana. You will supervise employees, monitor safety and quality, and ensure on-time output while aligning with company procedures.

You will also assist with issue resolution, training, and process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce waste in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or lead experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, supervisors, and management.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to understand and follow safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and accountability while working with employees across multiple shifts and departments.
• Candidate must be willing to complete a background clearance form to work on property at the Department of Corrections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production employees during an assigned shift.
• Assign work and monitor production schedules, priorities, and output to ensure daily goals are met.
• Ensure employees follow all company safety policies, quality standards, operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and workflow to identify and address potential production issues.
• Troubleshoot production problems and elevate issues to the appropriate supervisor or management when necessary.
• Train, coach, and support employees on proper processes, procedures, and job responsibilities.
• Monitor and track production metrics, including output, downtime, scrap, efficiency, and other performance indicators.
• Communicate shift updates, production concerns, staffing issues, priorities, and other relevant information to supervisors and management.
• Assist with identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce waste.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized production environment.
• Assist with maintaining adequate workflow and staffing throughout the shift.
• Provide leadership and support to production employees while promoting accountability and adherence to company expectations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management based on business and production needs.
