Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Production Manager to lead shift operations on the plant floor in our Miami, FL facility. You will drive safety, quality and performance while building a strong production team and delivering KPI results.

You have 5+ years managing manufacturing teams, knowledge of TPS concepts, and expertise in production planning and resource coordination. A collaborative leadership style and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing, preferably in non-climate-controlled environments.
• Working knowledge of TPS (Toyota Production System) concepts, e.g. workplace organization/5S & root cause analysis
• Solid understanding of production planning concepts, able to plan, allocate resources, manage production & coordinate people and equipment
• A collaborative leadership style, sound judgment & a commitment to safety-first culture

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage labor across your entire shift to keep operations running smoothly & efficiently
• Drive plant operations & lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner closely with all departments to achieve plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including safety, environment, people, quality, responsiveness & cost
• Ensure all personnel arrive to shift wearing correct safety equipment & maintain safety awareness throughout the shift
• Champion safety & incident reporting procedures, ensuring every team member is properly trained & performing their job functions correctly
