Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for a shift-based role in our Fontana location. The position supports the Operations Manager with staffing, scheduling, and ensuring metrics targets for safety, quality, and cost are met.

The role provides cross-functional training and a clear path to advancement within Ryder, with a focus on customer satisfaction and efficient shop performance. The schedule is 1:30PM to 11PM, Tuesday through Saturday, with weekly pay and a strong benefits

Qualifications

HS diploma/GED required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or 1–3 years of maintenance operations experience.
Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for work analysis, planning and scheduling, assigning work to technicians, productivity tracking and optimization.
Ensures all warranty policies and procedures are executed.
Triage unscheduled customer drive-ins and communicate with customers, assigning work to technicians.
Conduct yard checks to ensure proper work scheduling and prioritization.
Provide management, training and development of all personnel assigned.
Responsible for performance management of all assigned personnel.
Maintain data integrity in the shop management system and ensure reporting of key metrics.
